長く続いている形や同盟関係を手放すのは心が痛くなることです。少し前、最近起こった変化についてそういう風に痛い思いをしました。しかし代わりに、安心や自由といった気持ちが得られました。驚くことはありません。これらはもはや用済みなのです。今が終わりの時です。

Often letting go of longstanding arrangements or alliances is painful. Only a short while ago you’d have felt that way about the changes currently taking place. Yet instead, you’re feeling a growing sense of relief and freedom. This is no surprise. These have outlived their usefulness. It’s time they come to an end.
